As a Member Service Representative I, you will focus on identifying needs to enrich our members’ lives under close supervision of management. You will conduct routine transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, and payments while proactively offering additional products and services. This role emphasizes initiating high-quality conversations to deepen member relationships and refers members for account opening, lending, and other cross-sale opportunities. Ownership of the member experience is crucial, as you will serve as a single point of contact to develop these relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently process deposits, payments, withdrawals, cash checks, wires, and fraud packets in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Balance cash drawer/TCR and manage all transactions with accuracy and courtesy while maintaining privacy and security.
  • Fulfill member requests by providing outstanding service and problem resolution, focusing on matching member needs to applicable products and services.
  • Initiate conversations with members to deepen relationships and refer them for account opening, lending, and other cross-sale opportunities.
  • Perform all operational and procedural tasks associated with the role, including assisting branch staff with audits or other operational functions.
  • Adhere to the Credit Union’s policy regarding attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months of similar related experience as a teller, cashier, or in a member/customer service role.
  • Effective communication skills to engage with members and build relationships regarding products and services.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and demonstrate close attention to detail.
  • Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy in interactions with the public.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
