Responsibilities
- Build and maintain customer relationships by preparing for interactions, establishing rapport, and using open/closed-ended questions to understand financial goals.
- Match customer needs to Seacoast Bank products and services, and confidently explain them.
- Create and enhance relationships based on customer needs, and ask for referrals from new and existing customers.
- Exhibit strong listening skills and communicate clearly in all situations; respond promptly to customer needs and escalate complex matters as needed.
- Balance business needs with customer requests while managing potential risk to the bank.
- Embrace new technology and stay updated on industry changes to foster innovation.
- Participate in community, charitable, or civic events.
- Collaborate with branch and organizational associates, demonstrating strong work ethics and teamwork.
- Develop an introductory understanding of consumer deposit and lending products and processes.
- Gain proficiency in outbound calling and identify referral opportunities with internal business partners.
- Observe presentations on banking products/services through networking events.
- Develop a strong understanding of customer-facing technology to discuss and enroll customers in self-service products/processes.
- Process checks, cash, and negotiable instrument transactions while adhering to bank policies and procedures.
- Ensure branch compliance with AML/BSA requirements, audit procedures, operational protocols, dual control, security, and business continuity.
- Assist in remediating audit, scorecard, or quality control deficiencies.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues as needed.
- Balance cash drawer daily and monitor work for accuracy.
- Follow management direction to resolve customer objections and retain relationships.
- Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct and all safety/security procedures.
- May be assigned vault responsibilities.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 6 months cash handling experience required.
- Minimum of 6 months previous experience in retail sales and/or financial services preferred.
- Flexible schedule with ability to work during branch hours, including weekends and occasional non-operational hours.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and exercise initiative.
- Proficiency with PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office Suite.
