About the Role
This role processes financial transactions accurately and provides information to members in the lobby and/or by telephone. You will deliver friendly, helpful, and confidential assistance while ensuring a positive experience and minimizing wait time. By living Rogue’s Service Promises and Service Standards, you will create loyal members through unsurpassed service every moment.
Responsibilities
- Receives and accurately processes member financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, money orders, transfers, disputes, statement/check copies, safe deposit boxes, etc.). Demonstrates a basic understanding of financial transactions and Rogue’s products and services. (50%)
- Responds to member requests, problems, and complaints, or directs members to the appropriate person for assistance. Demonstrates ownership and follow-through on all member requests. (15%)
- Collaborates with and assists other departments/branches to maintain unsurpassed service across the credit union. (10%)
- Promotes deeper member participation by cross-selling credit union products and services to meet member needs. (10%)
- Maintains and balances cash drawer, daily transactions, ATMs, vault, cash/coin vaults, and dispense machines. Completes branch-specific opening and closing duties. (10%)
- Performs other duties as needed or assigned. (5%)
Requirements
- One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
- High school education or GED.
- Good communication and listening skills; ability to multi-task.
- Proficiency with 10-key calculators, computers, and keyboarding.
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Continuous standing and walking.
- Finger dexterity for handling documents and cash.
- Occasional talking and hearing in person and on the telephone.
- Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more.
Work Environment
- Normal workday with occasional overtime.
- Requires working Saturdays and a rotating, flexible schedule.
- Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions (e.g., robbery).
- Travel to other Rogue Credit Union regions may be required.
