Schedule

This is a 40 hr/week position requiring weekday shifts and every other Saturday.

• Monday‑Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday (every other week): 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Nature and scope

Performs transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy. Provides cash receipt and payment services in accordance with credit union policies and procedures. Presents and explains a basic number of credit union products and services to members. Represents the credit union in a positive and professional manner.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous work experience with cash handling or customer service preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem‑solving, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to become proficient in all programs and systems used for this job.
• Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures related to the position.
• Compliance with all company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Principal accountabilities

• Provide friendly, courteous, and expedient teller and related services to members, resulting in a balanced cash drawer daily.
• Cross‑sell other member services.
• Process mail deposits and withdrawals.
• May assist in balancing the ATM (if not performed by an outside source).
• May train to perform open/closing duties (with manager on site).
• May train to verify checks for other tellers.
• May train to perform overrides.
• May be cross‑trained to help in other positions within the branch.
• May be required to attend training at headquarters or an off‑site location.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
