Teller I

Role supports member financial well-being by engaging in meaningful conversations to resolve inquiries, enhance experiences, and deepen relationships. Processes transactions, handles cash, provides account maintenance, troubleshoots issues, and educates members on Credit Union products and services.

Responsibilities

• Assist members, guest members, and potential members with account inquiries, perform cash and non-cash transactions, and conduct account maintenance while actively listening to and addressing member needs to provide an ultimate member experience and value-added solutions.
• Resolve member inquiries with a focus on the Brand Promise while adhering to company policies; research and explore potential solutions to provide alternatives for members.
• Follow escalation processes to direct members to appropriate team members as needed.
• Balance cash, checks, and conduct daily transactions with minimal errors.
• Maintain knowledge of all credit union products, services, and promotions.
• Contribute to efficient Credit Union operations by performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
• A high school education or GED.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to sit or remain stationary; use hands to finger, handle, operate, input, or feel; reach with hands and arms in any direction; talk, communicate, converse, exchange information, and hear.
• Must balance, kneel, walk, and stand, occasionally moving and traversing.
• Frequent use of a computer and phone, with repetitive motions involving substantial wrist, hand, and finger movements.
• Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly.
• Sedentary work: exert up to 10 to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

• Inside environmental conditions: protection from weather but not necessarily from temperature changes or seasonal brightness through windows.
• May involve periodic stressful conditions.
• Business days are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; position may require adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening/weekend hours.
• Noise level is usually moderate.

Pay

$18.67 per hour.
