Teller (FT40)

About the role

Performs all basic teller duties under close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform teller transactions and cash handling with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
• Make wise decisions based upon adequate knowledge of RRCU policies and procedures.
• Responsible for balancing drawer daily and securing negotiables at all times.
• Willingness to cross-sell products and/or services to meet member needs.
• Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all RRCU products and services.
• Alert branch management or Risk Management of any suspicious activity regarding transactions including forgery, theft, fraud, kiting, etc.
• Complete Currency Transaction Reports (CTR), Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR), and other regulatory compliance documentation as required.
• Ensure that work area and equipment is clean, secure, and well maintained in accordance with RRCU policies and procedures.
• Cross-train to learn other teller functions.
• Adhere to all Red River Employees Federal Credit Union policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Six months or more of experience with cash handling and/or customer service-related position.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Competent computer skills and use of standard office equipment.
• Friendly, outgoing individual with good communication skills.
• Ability to meet, speak, and deal effectively with people, being professional at all times.
• Must maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Interpersonal skills that enable working independently or as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy bags of coin.
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time.
• Ability to operate standard teller equipment.
