Job Summary
About the role
Kleberg Bank, N.A. seeks a Teller who embodies excellence in customer service, integrity, and a passion for service. The Teller is responsible for all customer service, sales, and relationship management duties.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ability to learn teller functions as described in policies, procedures and performance standards.
- Verify amounts and examine checks for proper endorsement and signature.
- Balance cash drawer at the end of the shift and compare to computer-generated totals.
- Report all discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Learn security and vault procedures.
- Service customers by processing transactions quickly with minimal errors.
- Verify all transactions, place holds when appropriate, and work cash drawer through completion of shift.
- Assess appropriate fees for services like money orders, cashier's checks, and coin processing.
- Maintain a basic knowledge of Kleberg Bank products, services, and policies.
- Offer excellent service, greet customers, and build rapport.
- Identify and match customer product needs with Kleberg Bank products and services.
- Perform security functions as outlined in Center Opening and Closing Procedures.
- Resolve customer complaints, problems, or issues independently.
- Work in a team setting and participate in meetings, bank functions, and community involvement.
Requirements
- High School Diploma and minimum of 1 years related experience in banking or related industry.
- Competent and knowledgeable in branch operations policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- College degree preferred.
- 5-7 years management experience in Banking or related industry.
