Teller (Eagles Landing)

About the role

The Teller position at Delta Community Credit Union requires face-to-face contact with members on a daily basis. Teamwork with other staff members is essential to provide prompt and courteous service.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a positive image for Delta Community Credit Union through excellent customer relations.
• Handle account entries with high accuracy and provide superior service to members and guests.
• Be detail-oriented, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and manage time effectively.
• Educate members on new bank technologies and digital solutions like mobile, online, Zelle, and ATMs.
• Process and balance various types of transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashing checks, and cash advances.
• Maintain security of cash drawer, negotiable instruments, and credit union documents.
• Complete Shared Branching transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and mortgage payments.
• Promote, recommend, and refer products and services while maintaining professionalism.
• Receive and process mortgage and loan payments.
• Identify and report suspicious activities including phishing, money laundering, and fraud.
• Meet or exceed service goals and balancing standards.
• Work flexibly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months' cash handling experience or 1+ years' customer service experience.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and work accurately with numbers.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with little to no supervision.
• Able to sit/stand for approximately 8 hours a day.
• Flexible to work Saturdays and relieve multiple branch offices.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Associates degree in Business or related field preferred.
• 1+ years' customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
• 1+ years' previous credit union or financial service experience preferred.
• Symitar experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Delta Community Credit Union policies and procedures preferred.

Skills

Essential skills include strong customer service, mathematical acumen, and ability to work independently in a busy environment. Knowledge of Delta Community Credit Union products and services is beneficial.
