About the role
Tellers/Customer Service Representatives at First Financial Bank are responsible for providing exceptional service to clients, managing cash transactions accurately, and promoting bank products.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with clients and understand their needs
- Process transactions accurately and proactively
- Ensure accuracy in cash and check transactions
- Drive account growth and refer clients to appropriate professionals
- Identify and prevent fraud, adhering to compliance standards
- Solve client problems professionally and efficiently
- Educate clients on security measures and financial products
- Collaborate with colleagues to support a respectful and innovative team environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in a business setting
- Minimum 1 year of cash-handling experience
- Teller experience preferred (6+ months)
- Strong customer service skills, including active listening and clear communication
- Experience recommending and referring financial products
- Solid understanding of compliance and fraud detection
- Ability to accurately balance a cash drawer
- Proficiency with computers, data entry, and multi-line phone systems
- Basic math and accounting skills
- Ability to work occasional weekends and extended hours
- Ability to remain in a stationary, standing position for up to 75% of an eight-hour workday
- Ability to review information and details at close range (within a few feet)
