About the role

The purpose of this job is to provide quality customer service through the processing of a variety of cash and non-cash transactions.

To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Represent UMB professionally and provide first-rate customer service
• Ensure accurate and timely teller transactions
• Conform to bank compliance policies and procedures
• Process various transactions including cashing checks, taking deposits, assisting customers with stop payments, wire transfers, and understanding bank products and services
• Responsible for the security of assigned cash and transactions
• Balance cash within established guidelines
• Assist with opening and closing the branch
• Help build team spirit and provide teller support to branches within the surrounding area
• Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management

Requirements

• Understand PC/10 key functions
• Ability to lift/move/carry 40 pounds
• Good organizational skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Work flexible hours, including hours between 7am to 5:30pm Monday-Friday

Physical Requirements

• Frequently: Sit, walk, stand, manually manipulate, squat or kneel
• Lift up to 40 lbs
