About the role
Enhance members' experience by accurately processing financial transactions and serving as an effective source of information for members in the lobby, drive-thru window, or by telephone. Provide friendly, professional, confidential, and efficient assistance to members and company associates, ensuring a positive experience and minimizing wait time. Offer appropriate solutions and cross-sell credit union services to meet branch goals and achieve financial success.
Responsibilities
- Handle initial member contact via in-person interaction, phone, or email in a professional manner to enhance the member's experience (45%).
- Demonstrate efficiency with financial transactions, including receiving deposits, disbursing cash, and receiving loan payments. Verbally confirm intended transactions to meet member needs and minimize errors.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities to provide members with additional services and solutions. Refer members to appropriate staff for new accounts, loans, and consultations (15%).
- Assist in meeting branch growth goals for productivity and profitability. Participate in community involvement activities.
- Balance cash drawer daily to maintain transaction accuracy. Notify supervisors of discrepancies while following established policies. Keep cash drawer and all funds secure (15%).
- Address member inquiries on accounts, validate checks, count cash payments, issue cashier's checks, and receive currency for coin (10%).
- Research, troubleshoot, and resolve member concerns to enhance the member experience and address internal inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and products (5%).
- Assist other departments and branches with transactions as needed. Support department and branch managers in fulfilling member requests and merchant verifications (5%).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Requirements
- High school degree or GED required.
- Cash handling and customer service experience strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion.
- Regularly lift a cash box of up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift coin bags up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
- Reach and grasp using arms, hands, and fingers.
- Capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations.
- Operate routine office equipment, including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator.
- Routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day.
- Capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
- Ability to work extended hours when required or requested by management.
Working Conditions
- Routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
Pay
Competitive salary with weekly pay.
Schedule
Part-time, 28 hours per week:
- Monday: Off
- Tuesday & Wednesday: 12:30pm - 6:15pm
- Thursday & Friday: 11:45am - 6:15pm
- Saturday: 8:45am - 12:15pm
