Full-time position at KPVI-DTV in Pocatello, Idaho.
About the role
Exciting opportunity for a Television Production Assistant to support locally produced newscasts. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Operate a video switcher, edit video, operate an audio mixing board, and/or operate studio cameras
- Studio and set preparation
- Maintain studio lighting
- Field videography
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Working knowledge of television newscast equipment and software
- Good attitude, willingness to learn, and strong communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and work well under pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to stand, sit, reach, climb, conduct telephone conversations, use email, write letters and memos, and conduct face-to-face discussions
- Ability to make decisions without supervision and decisions that impact co-workers
- Work in close proximity to others, indoors in environmentally controlled conditions, or outdoors during remote broadcasts or events
- Some lifting required
- Valid driver’s license (some travel may be required)
Qualifications
Experience is not necessary, but education and/or internship in television or a related field is preferred.
