Television News Producer
About the role
WINK News-Southwest Florida’s news leader has an immediate opening for an experienced news producer. We are looking for a talented producer who can take our newscast to the next level. Must have solid writing skills, sound news judgment and strong organizational abilities. Must also be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines and work well with others in a fast-paced newsroom.

Requirements
- MUST HAVE: At least two years of producer experience in a television newsroom
- A passion for the job with strong news judgment
- An above-average knowledge of local news and the ability to advance the big story
- A strong collaboration and time-management skills, attention to detail, comfortable with taking direction from supervisors and colleagues and the ability to quickly pivot when needed
- A flexibility to work any shift
- Proficiency in English
Preferred
- A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Able to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to traverse the office workspace daily and occasional field work if needed
- Ability to perceive and respond to visual and auditory cues
