Essential Functions
- Contacts eligible blood donors and recruits them to donate regularly
- Provides excellent customer service at all times; establishes rapport with donors and potential donors, and educates them on the organization’s programs and services
- Enters donor information into the electronic database and utilizes various methods for appointment reminders
- Complies with and maintains current knowledge and understanding of Donor Recruitment policies, procedures and other related regulations
- Aids in stabilizing and maintaining blood donation inventory levels
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, and comfortable speaking with donors on the phone
- Ability to meet pre-defined monthly metrics related to outreach calls, appointments confirmed, booking accuracy, and show rates; eligible to earn a monthly incentive award based upon goal achievements
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English
- Skill in operating office equipment
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and database software navigation
Physical Requirements
- Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (up to 20 pounds)
- Tasks may involve some manual dexterity, visual acuity, hearing acuity, and extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station
Environmental Requirements
