Telephone Triage Virtual RN

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in line with department and specialty standards. You will collaborate with medical providers and the care team, providing personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, and advocating for patients, families, and caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Provide nurse advice and triage services to consumers calling with clinical questions
• Offer appropriate compassionate advice to callers using evidence-based clinical decision tools
• Make cross referrals as indicated
• Facilitate referrals and event registration through internal transfer mechanisms
• Utilize nursing skills and approved protocols to provide telephone nurse triage and/or health advice
• Facilitate referrals for health services as appropriate via telephone
• Perform all components of call processing to meet performance standards
• Accept constructive feedback and provide superior customer service
• Document caller information and outcomes in a relational database system
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and PHI regulations
• Communicate appropriately and clearly with departmental management, co-workers, and callers
• Provide homecare, advice, and/or education respecting cultural, spiritual, intellectual/educational, and psychosocial differences
• Maintain and contribute to a collaborative professional and ethical work environment
• Participate in team meetings and engage in processes of the contact center

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma – Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing – Preferred
• 3+ years of experience in bedside nursing required
• Telehealth experience helpful, not required
• BLS Certification Required
• Compact license in your state of residence is preferred
• Licensure required for these states (NV, CA, and AK)

About the Role

This Work from Home position requires living within 60 miles of an HCA Healthcare Hospital. The typical candidate is hired below the midpoint of the wage range, which may vary based on factors like specific skills, experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.

Schedule

Shift schedules available: 3 Evenings/Nights with 1 Weekend day (4 day - 10 hour shifts).
