About the role

The University of Michigan Survey Services Lab (SSL) is hiring Survey Technicians to support important social research projects. Survey Technicians conduct computer-assisted telephone interviews and assist with other survey operations, including customer support, coding, mail survey tasks, and quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Talk with people and build rapport
  • Read and accurately record survey responses
  • Use a Windows-based computer
  • Work evenings and weekends
  • Live within commuting distance of U-M Central Campus

Requirements

  • Enjoy talking with people and building rapport
  • Read survey questions exactly as written and accurately record responses
  • Be comfortable using a Windows-based computer
  • Be reliable, self-motivated, and professional
  • Have availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Live within commuting distance of U-M Central Campus
