Telepharmacy Technician
About the role
At CVS Health, Telepharmacy Technicians play a critical role in managing day-to-day operations within our Telepharmacy Remote Dispensing Pharmacy (RDP) locations. They oversee the safe and secure operation of the pharmacy, manage prescription fulfillment, and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists and pharmacy team manage and improve patient health
- Serving as a keyholder, keeping alarm and safe codes, and protecting the integrity of all pharmacy products, with special attention to refrigerated products and controlled substances
- Fulfilling prescriptions according to pharmacy workflow procedures, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off
- Managing controlled substance prescription fulfillment, including counting, capturing images, and maintaining inventory
- Creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone; offering arrangements for immunizations and other services at the register and over the phone; and demonstrating compassionate care by solving or escalating patient problems
- Completing inventory activities, such as accurately putting away medication deliveries and completing cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, waiting bin inventories, etc.
- Supporting additional patient health care services when the pharmacist is on-site, such as immunizations, point-of-care testing, and volunteering at offsite clinics
- Supporting immunizations by completing additional licensure and training requirements, obtaining Technician Immunizer status, educating patients about the importance of vaccines, and monitoring for adverse reactions
Requirements
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- Must have National Certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Must have State-level licensure requirements, which vary by state
- Must have 1+ years full-time experience as a Pharmacy Technician; CVS Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT-Adv) certification
- Must have previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Must have experience in an Inventory Specialist role
- Must be able to work in the home store and across the market in other locations to meet business needs

Pay
The typical pay range for this role is $17.15 - $27.15. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
