CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Observes the cardiac rhythms on the monitors on a continuous basis during the shift.
- Recognizes interference and can correct the problem as observed by the nurse.
- Recognizes and immediately reports dysrhythmias to the appropriate staff.
- Records monitor strips on all patients every 4 hours.
- Documents PR interval, rate, and rhythm on the recorded strip every 4 hours.
- Affords all telemetry monitor alarms are always on.
- Retrieves rhythms stored in memory upon request.
- Oversees supply inventory and reports malfunctioning equipment.
CORE QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of EKG certification program
- Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred

PAY
The pay for this position is commensurate with experience.
SCHEDULE
This is a part-time, intermittent position.
