Telemetry Technician - Full-time

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - Nashville is a critical illness recovery hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronically ill patients. Telemetry Technicians are integral in delivering compassionate, high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Continuous monitoring and timely response to alarms on EKG monitors.
• Verification of basic, lethal rhythms, and artifact on EKGs.
• Maintaining and responding to EKG monitor alarms.
• Completing EKG interpretations including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, wave form alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
• Ensuring strip interpretations are validated by Registered Nurses (RNs).

Requirements

• Completion and passing of EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on an education platform within 30 days of starting the position.
• Passing other tests/competencies as required by Select Medical.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training.
