About the Role

The Cardiac and Vascular Institute of Gainesville, FL seeks a Holter and Event Monitor Technician to join the Device department. This position supports our mission to deliver state-of-the-art cardiovascular care by ensuring accurate and timely monitoring and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Properly apply Holter Monitors and Event Monitors and explain their uses to patients.
• Download Holter and Event Monitor results promptly to facilitate rapid turnaround time for new patients.
• Scan Holter Monitor results and provide summary reports to the physician on a timely basis, highlighting possible problematic abnormalities.
• Revise written summaries as necessary.
• Prepare final Holter and Event reports for the reading physician.
• Maintain an atmosphere that supports customer service and patient satisfaction.
• Perform related work as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Previous experience in a nursing environment with competent knowledge of basic cardiac rhythms.
• Experience in EKG/ECG interpretation is required.
