About the role
The primary purpose of the Telemetry/Neuro-Diagnostic Monitoring Technician position is to assist in the performance of clinical and technical procedures which contribute to the care of the adult telemetry/video EEG monitored patient (age 17 to maturity).
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- CPR Certification required.
- Three (3) to six (6) months of healthcare experience or training in the use of electrocardiograph equipment.
- Prior experience in the reading of EKG strips preferred.
- Validated previous Neuro-Diagnostic Video EEG Monitoring experience or completion of education during orientation.
- Successful completion of a program in the specialty.
- Employee who fails the didactic course, must complete remediation, and pass the course within thirty (30) days.
- Must complete 20 clinical observation hours with one (1) month of completion of the didactic course.
