About the role

This is a benefited, full-time position working 12-hour night shifts on varied nights. Hours are generally 18:30–07:00. Rotating holidays and weekends required. Located at Scripps Centralized Services on Rehco Road. If selected to move forward in the process, you will take a proctored telemetry test during the interview.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients on cardiac and/or SPO2 (continuous oxygen saturation) via telemetry equipment.
  • Monitor patients when transporting to and from procedures/units.
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms/SPO2 and report changes to the RN.
  • Prioritize notification to the RN based on emergent patient care needs.
  • Identify and maintain integrity of the telemetry system and report all malfunctions and needed adjustments.
  • Print telemetry strips and document per unit standards.
  • Place patient on cardiac/SPO2 monitor, change batteries, and set up leads.
  • Perform clerical and other duties as requested per unit standard.

Requirements

  • Must successfully complete the Scripps Health EKG Examination during the interview process.

Qualifications

  • 6 months of Cardiac Monitoring experience preferred.
  • Basic Arrhythmia Certification.
  • EKG certification.

Pay

$25.95–$32.56/hour

Schedule

  • Full-time, 12-hour night shifts on varied nights (18:30–07:00).
  • Rotating holidays and weekends required.
