Job Summary

Jump-start your career as a Telemetry Monitoring Tech at Alaska Regional Hospital. You will deliver high quality, patient-centered care to cardiac patients monitoring for age-related arrhythmias and reporting results to the nursing staff.

Qualifications

  • Six months or more of telemetry monitoring experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of specialty equipment and tools: Telemetry monitoring system management, strong cardiac rhythm recognition, interpretation skills & communication skills strongly desired.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.

What You Will Do

  • Provide competent, continuous cardiac rhythm monitoring and interpretation.
  • Safe and effective use of equipment.
  • Positive team participant on patient care units.
  • Courteous interactions with visitors, patients, and medical staff.
  • Support unit and hospital philosophy, goals and objectives.
  • Composed and professional demeanor, especially under pressure.
  • Follow patient and employee safety/security policies and protocols.
  • Perform clerical work as needed, including assembling and maintaining charts, filing, answering and transferring phones, and relaying messages.
