Telemetry Monitor Technician - Heart Care Unit - .9 FTE- Day Shift

About the role

The Heart Care Unit is an amazing and dynamic 31 bed intermediate care unit caring for a range of patients including heart failure, arrhythmias, chest pain, open heart surgery, cardiac procedures, stroke, and a variety of other medical conditions. Our unit has a rich history of combining excellent patient satisfaction, technical care and patient outcomes. We pride ourselves on our Heart Care Unit teamwork, how we treat each other, the strong relationships between nurses and CNAs, how we orient new staff and the opportunity for CNAs to grow in their skills and experiences.

Responsibilities

- Observes patients on the cardiac systems, communicates data to the appropriate personnel, and maintains integrity of the system. - Performs the duties of a MT in accordance with WMH policies and procedures, and any department specific policies and procedures. - Communicates accurate and efficient patient information in a timely manner, keeping patient safety the first priority. - Gathers and completes all documentation accurately and efficiently. - Collaborates with other team members (RN, CNA, UCC, MT, and unit leadership) to ensure patient needs and being met.

Schedule

- This .9 FTE commits to 36 hours per week, 7am - 730pm, 12 hours. Weekend rotation. Holiday rotation.
