Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement VLAN architectures and network segmentation strategies.
- Configure trunking, spanning tree, and Layer 2 switching technologies.
- Implement IP addressing schemes, subnetting, and Layer 3 routing configurations.
- Troubleshoot across OSI Layers 1–4, correlating physical faults with logical network behavior.
- Configure and support routing protocols, ACLs, QoS, and secure traffic flows.
- Perform network performance analysis and capacity planning aligned with infrastructure growth.
Requirements
- Clearance Level: Secret
- Certifications (IAT Level II)
- One Of The Following:
- CySA+
- Security+
- CCNA - Security
- GICSP
- GSEC
- SSCP
Skills
- 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
- Deep understanding of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA) and fiber/copper infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing VLAN and Layer 3 routing solutions.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot across physical and logical network layers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco CCNP or higher (or equivalent enterprise certification).
- Experience supporting classified enclaves.
- Cisco CCNP or higher (or equivalent enterprise certification).
- Experience with fiber backbone design and data center buildouts.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and infrastructure documentation platforms.
