Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network/Infrastructure Engineer in Louisville, KY, Las Vegas, NV or Fort Worth, TX. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and support MDF and IDF rooms from scratch, including rack layout, power planning, grounding, labeling, and documentationDeploy and maintain Ubiquiti infrastructure (switches, APs, gateways, UPS, RPS, cameras)Perform structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6A), including cable routing, termination, testing, and cleanupSafely operate scissor lifts to install APs, cameras, and cabling at heightDesign and review network layouts, floor plans, and infrastructure diagramsConduct Wi-Fi heatmaps and coverage analysis (Ekahau or equivalent)Implement network redundancy, power failover, and resiliency best practicesConfigure VLANs, routing, firewall rules, VPNs, and basic network security controlsTroubleshoot network issues across OSI Layers 1-7Travel to fulfillment centers to support launches, expansions, and remediation workCreate and maintain clear documentation (network diagrams, runbooks, standards)Coach and support junior IT staff through hands-on guidance and knowledge sharing Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or related field requiredEquivalent professional experience may be consideredHighly desirable certifications: Ubiquiti (URSCA or equivalent); CompTIA Network+; Cisco CCNA; CWNA / CWDP (wireless)Ongoing certification and training encouragedExperience with MDF/IDF design, rack builds, and structured cablingStrong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, ports, firewalls)Deep familiarity with Ubiquiti ecosystemKnowledge of power redundancy, UPS, RPS, and environmental considerationsSolid grasp of network security basics and access control conceptsComfortable working across Linux/Mac/Windows networking environmentsAbility to independently execute physical installs in warehouse environments Professional Expectations Highly organized with strong documentation habitsSense of urgency and ability to prioritize operational impactClear, professional communication with IT and Operations teamsSelf-starter mentality - sees problems and fixes themWillingness to be onsite and hands-on when the business needs it The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
