Telecom/Network Engineer

As a Telecom/Network Engineer, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market. Responsibilities Support Network Operations, with a focus on incident responseUnder general supervision, participate in decisions on technical direction, architecture design, and product selection for the enterprise telecom/data networkAssist with the deployment of telecom/network technologyExercise independent judgmentUnder general direction work on complex technical issuesProvide input to short and long-term section strategy and budget planningMay be required to perform some of the duties of Telecom/Network SpecialistReceptive to new ideas and to learning new technologiesPlan and lead small projects and perform project management coordinating the efforts of internal and external staff with the customer and business needsOn occasion oversee projects and tasks assigned to project team members and may be asked to provide input to their evaluationsOccasionally work under stressful conditions, participating in implementations and troubleshooting efforts that may have significant patient care and/or financial impact to the organizationMay be asked to represent Telecommunications and Networks to committees at the client Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of two (2) years of professional technical work experience OR Associate’s degree with a minimum of four (4) years of professional technical work experience OR Minimum of (6) years professional technical work experience required for individuals without a degreeExperience at the Network Engineering level and a genuine interest in operations workExpert knowledge of telecom/network concepts and 7-layer OSI model is requiredKnowledge of basic telecom/network management and monitoring toolsBasic understanding of desktop and server operating systems is desirableMust be able to work with minimum direction and able to work effectively in a team environmentMust be customer focused and possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of personnel at various levels within and outside the institutionGood organizational and time management skills are required to handle the workload and track the various projects going on simultaneouslySolid analytical skills are also a necessity Preferred Qualifications Cisco networking experience Cisco or other networking certifications The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $140,000 or the hourly equivalent.
