Telecommunications Lab Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Support constructing, assembling, arranging, mounting, or wiring components and test equipment in a state-of-the-art 5G wireless telecommunications laboratory
- Maintain lab equipment per maintenance and calibration schedules
- Develop and maintain lab documentation including cable diagrams, lab connectivity configurations and user manuals to document the function and interconnection of the various assemblies and troubleshoot and lab system issues
- Complete review of test plans and test data and make recommendations for project and program and process improvements
- Provide and maintain detailed documentation of analyses and process steps for audit purposes
- Support safety audit requirements of a telecommunications lab
- Support capital management and inventory requirements of the lab equipment
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years’ experience supporting the construction and/or maintenance of 4G and 5G cellular equipment in an operator network or in a state-of-the-art 5G wireless telecommunications laboratory
- Familiar with the interconnection of wireless telecommunication equipment such as Remote Radio Head Units, Baseband Units, and Cell Site Routers
- Experience with wireless telecommunications test bench setup, test case execution, data collection and troubleshooting
- Experience with lab equipment maintenance, calibration support and capital management inventory of lab equipment
- Experience with the operation of cellular lab test equipment including RF spectrum analyzers, signal generators and audio quality test platforms
- Experience with the safety audit process of wireless telecommunications laboratory
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust and/or EOD, which requires US citizenship
Desired Skills
- Strong project management skills and experience
- Experience using various data analytics tools for analysis and reporting
- Prior consulting or program support experience with federal cybersecurity or wireless engineering/telecommunications-focused organizations

Salary Range
$100,000 - $130,000

New employees are not usually hired at the top of the estimated salary range and salary decisions depend on the circumstances and factors for each case.

This position involves working on federal contracts that require all workers on the contract to be U.S. Citizens. Additionally, some contracts may require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
