Telecommunications Installer IV - New Jersey

Duties/Responsibilities

• Perform circuit modifications, additions, and removals on active power distribution systems.
• Execute power transition operations and test/turn-up of power system equipment.
• Oversee volatile and high-risk work activities on job site.
• Serve as Site Supervisor, ensuring project compliance, safety, and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot complex issues using experience and sound judgment.
• Plan and accomplish tasks to meet customer goals and resolve key issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma/GED and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in DC power equipment installation is required.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook / Excel / Word.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 100% and willingness to work different shifts (swing shifts).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 40 lbs., frequently pushing or pulling of cables up to 60 lbs., frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft., frequently working/standing on ladders for long periods of time, continuous standing, frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level, frequently bending, twisting, or stooping, frequently crouching or squatting, be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold.
