Telecommunications Business Development Manager (OSP)
About the role
Crestone Services Group is seeking a telecommunications professional with a strong background in the Outside Plant (OSP) industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in Project Management, Operations, Construction Management, Estimating, Program Management, or Business Development.
Responsibilities
- Develop meaningful relationships with General Contractors, Telecom Providers, Utilities, Municipalities, and Engineering Firms.
- Identify project opportunities before they become publicly bid whenever possible.
- Expand the company's visibility through networking, industry associations, and strategic marketing initiatives.
- Partner with Operations, Estimating, and Executive Leadership to support continued growth.
- Build and strengthen long-term client relationships.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities throughout the OSP marketplace.
- Partner with Operations and Estimating during project pursuits.
- Support proposal development and client presentations.
- Represent Crestone Services Group at conferences, trade associations, and networking events.
- Aid in branding initiatives, LinkedIn content, customer success stories, and marketing efforts.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and identify future opportunities for growth.
Requirements
The successful candidate should have a proven track record in the telecommunications, fiber deployment, utility construction, or Outside Plant infrastructure industries. They must also possess strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to building long-term relationships.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Experience in project management, operations, or construction management.
- Strong understanding of the OSP industry and its challenges.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
