About the Role
UST is searching for a Telecom Specialist with a strong understanding of Radio Access Network (RAN) 4G/5G technologies and end-to-end network domain expertise. The role involves analyzing RAN performance data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leading network optimization efforts for enterprise and large-scale carrier deployments.
Responsibilities
- Analyse RAN performance data to identify trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights for improving network efficiency.
- Prepare reports and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network-related issues.
- Collaborate with software developers and data scientists to develop new performance reports and data analytics solutions.
- Provide guidance on AI/ML use cases for telecom operations and network optimization.
- Validate KPIs and ensure end-to-end solution alignment across deployments.
- Lead network optimization efforts across enterprise and large-scale carrier deployments.
- Mentor junior team members on OSS best practices and telecom technologies.
Requirements
- At least 7-10 years of experience in the telecom domain.
- Strong understanding of RAN technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G concepts, KPIs, network architecture).
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation of network performance metrics.
- Hands-on experience with telecom tools and performance monitoring systems.
- Proven experience with network optimization and KPI validation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Software development experience (optional but valued).
- Experience with AI/ML applications in telecom.
- Familiarity with data analytics platforms and tools.
- Proven track record supporting major global operators (Airtel, AT&T, T-Mobile, Dish, Jio, or similar).
- Enterprise and large-scale operator deployment exposure.
- Working knowledge of telecom-specific data structures and APIs.
Skills
- Technical Skills: Deep OSS platform knowledge (Nokia, Ericsson), network optimization methodologies, performance troubleshooting and KPI analysis, configuration and fault management expertise.
- Soft Skills: Strong cross-team collaboration, technical mentoring and knowledge transfer, problem-solving and analytical thinking, documentation and technical communication.
- Software Development (Optional but Beneficial): Ability to work with developers on new report development, understanding of data analytics workflows, familiarity with AI/ML concepts in telecom context.

Pay
Role Location: Washington
Compensation Range: $64,000-$96,000
