Responsibilities

  • Ensure the execution of overhead/underground construction duties such as: placing hard-line connectivity & platforms, framing and stranding poles, transferring facilities between poles, placing connectivity & platforms in joint trench, and safe operation of construction vehicles and connectivity & platforms trailers.
  • Investigate and monitor accurate record keeping concerning project start, milestone dates, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures.
  • Instruct work site safety standards; conduct work site visits to ensure compliance with safety standards and participate in regular safety meetings with the crew.
  • Support Specialists and leadership team with coordination of projects.
  • Generate logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditures.
  • Review, resolve, and follow up on customer requests and complaints.
  • Monitor performance of construction crew to established goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of business support, technical, or production staff who perform tasks in the same function; set priorities for the team, assign tasks, and check work at regular intervals.
  • Ensure all work performed on the project meets or exceeds Comcast, Local, State, or Federal standards and regulations.
  • Update the JT or Polaris entry (job docs/maps) for QC path verification.
  • Act as the primary contractor interface day-to-day in the field and serve as the NGAN liaison with Regional Network Technicians.
  • Ensure new or upgraded power supply is in place and operational (in continuity) prior to cut date.
  • Oversee the overall quality of the NGAN product from contractor build to Operations handoff.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, including supporting Project Genesis by overseeing and monitoring Business Partner activities to ensure tasks are updated on time in P2, coordinating construction activities (materials, labor, resource allocation planning), providing technical advice to departments like procurement, design, and construction, monitoring cost estimates, and reviewing new jobs for task plan and scope alignment.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand and read Coax and Fiber design prints.
  • Background in the cable industry and knowledge of the National Electric Code.
  • Access to reliable ISP.
  • Expected to be in the field 90% of the time.
