About the role

The Telecom Engineer will design, deploy, and maintain a wide range of telecommunication systems and networks for offshore wind projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document Telecom Design Basis aligned with business requirements and industry best practices.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain VoIP solutions, including SIP servers, IP PBX systems, gateways, routers, and switches.
  • Monitor and optimize VoIP system performance, capacity, and availability.
  • Design, install, and manage telecom networks (fiber optic, LAN/WAN), telephone systems, video-conferencing, and wireless radio (VHF/UHF, GSM, TETRA/DMR).
  • Implement and support in-plant paging (PAGA), CCTV, access control systems (ACS), intrusion detection systems (IDS), satellite transmission systems (VSAT), RTU, and SCADA.
  • Apply international and domestic engineering standards, hazardous-area classification, and protection philosophies.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with telephone systems, PAGA, CCTV, ACS, data networks, structured cabling systems (SCS), VSAT, TETRA/DMR, and wireless radio.
  • Familiarity with relevant international codes and standards.
