About the role
Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join their Department of Psychiatry. The ideal candidate will develop and lead an interdisciplinary team in evaluating and treating hospitalized and emergency room patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses. This position is 100% virtual and follows a four-day, 10-hour shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Help develop and lead an interdisciplinary team in the evaluation and treatment of hospitalized and emergency room patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses.
- Train in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal Medicine-Psychiatry.
Requirements
- Licensed in Texas and residing in Texas, Washington, Florida, Louisiana, or Georgia.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent education.
- Criminal justice, security, or related experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong leadership skills.
- Experience in consultation-liaison psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, or internal medicine-psychiatry.
