About the role
The ideal physician will help develop and lead an interdisciplinary team in the evaluation and treatment of hospitalized and emergency room patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses.
Responsibilities
- Lead an interdisciplinary team in the evaluation and treatment of hospitalized and emergency room patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses.
- Train and mentor residents and fellows in consultation-liaison psychiatry.
- Collaborate with other specialists to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Requirements
- Board-Certified Psychiatrist.
- Licensed in Texas and residing in Texas, Washington, Florida, Louisiana, or Georgia.
- Training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal Medicine-Psychiatry is strongly desired.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in psychiatry.
- Experience in hospital-based psychiatry preferred.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong clinical skills.
