Teen Programmer

Location: Little Rock, Arkansas – Williams Library (1800 S Chester St, Little Rock, AR 72206)

Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week, includes working every other Saturday)

About the role

Williams Library is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Teen Programmer to lead and coordinate activities for teens, both in the library and out in the community. The Teen Programmer also serves as the primary promotion lead for branch programming, creating flyers, calendars, social media graphics, and other promotional materials to ensure programs are effectively promoted to the community.

Responsibilities

• Plan, promote, and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities for teens
• Create promotional materials such as flyers, calendars, and social media graphics
• Introduce and suggest books and authors that promote a love of reading
• Assist with day-to-day tasks performed by library staff, including enforcing rules of conduct
• Provide friendly and professional assistance to a diverse community, including children and teens

Requirements

• Outgoing, creative, and passionate about working with kids of all ages
• Comfortable working with the public and enforcing rules of conduct

Skills

• Graphic design (a plus)

Pay

$16.47 per hour
