What You'll Be Doing
- Evaluates network performance and capacity requirements and provides recommendations to senior technical staff.
- Performs application software and operating system updates on servers under the direction of senior technical staff.
- Troubleshoots advanced technical issues by conducting research, documenting findings, and implementing approved solutions.
- Manages day-to-day operations in Active Directory, including creating and disabling user accounts, managing group memberships, resetting passwords, and assigning file permissions.
- Troubleshoots intermediate routing, switching, wireless, DNS, and DHCP connectivity issues.
- Aids in the planning and implementation of district technology refresh projects.
- Administers and maintains technology management systems and tools used to monitor, secure, inventory, deploy, and support district technology resources.
- Serves as a technical resource on district-supported applications, systems, and services.
- Serves as a resource to Level I support technicians.
What You'll Need
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, AA or vocational certificate preferred.
- Experience: 3 years of job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is desired.
- Minimum qualifications: Utilizing pertinent software applications, preparing and maintaining accurate records, adhering to safety practices. Knowledge in current generation operating systems and network protocols. Ability to work with data of varied types and/or purposes, utilizing a wide variety of types of job-related equipment, displaying mechanical aptitude, adapting to changing work priorities, establishing effective working relationships, communicating with diverse groups, and attending to detail.
