Essential Performance Responsibilities
- Provide technical support of District owned computer hardware, software, networks, and servers.
- Concentrate on customer concerns, needs, issues, training, and guidance.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- A standard high school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in supporting computer systems related to digital environment.
- An earned associate’s degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in supporting computer systems related to digital environment.
- Proficiency in basic hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Windows, Mac, and iOS operating systems.
- Ability to install and maintain software applications.
- Experience managing and maintaining computer network systems including Virtual and Local Area Networks.
- Supporting enterprise applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentations, and electronic mail, cloud storage, and other related applications.
- Effective communication and computer skills as required for the position.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Bilingual skills.
Significant Contacts
- Frequent contact with customers at the assigned location and with district level technology support staff.
- To ensure an effective, stable, and consistent digital environment.
Physical Requirements
- Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
Terms of Employment
- Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District's approved compensation plan.
- The length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the School Board.
Job Progression Ladder
- The Technology Support Specialist I & II jobs are designated as one job for the purpose of job progression when the employee has achieved an evaluation indicating that his/her job performance has met or exceeded the expectations of the job.
- The Technology Support Specialist I shall be promoted to Technology Support Specialist II after two (2) years of experience in the department/school.
