About the role

Ashurst Perkins Coie LLP is seeking an associate to join our cutting-edge Technology Strategy, Disputes & Transactions practice. This position is available in multiple offices.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating licensing and technology agreements
• Advising on intellectual property issues
• Serving as support for M&A and financing transactions
• Supporting transactions involving new technologies such as AI and blockchain
• Advising start-ups and emerging companies on development, manufacturing, and product launch issues

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Drafting and negotiating licensing and technology agreements
• Advising on intellectual property issues
• Serving as support for M&A and financing transactions
• Supporting transactions involving new technologies such as AI and blockchain
• Advising start-ups and emerging companies on development, manufacturing, and product launch issues

Qualifications

• Subject matter expertise in enterprise software, cloud services, outsourcing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, financial technologies and payment systems, mobile applications, e-commerce, interactive entertainment (including games), digital content, and/or hardware
• Experience working at an AmLaw 50 law firm
• Excellent academic credentials

• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

$310,000 to $390,000 annually
