About the role

Ashurst Perkins Coie LLP is seeking an associate to join our cutting-edge Technology Strategy, Disputes & Transactions practice. This position is available in multiple offices.

Responsibilities

• drafting and negotiating licensing and technology agreements
• advising on intellectual property issues
• supporting M&A and financing transactions
• supporting transactions involving new technologies such as AI and blockchain
• advising start-ups and emerging companies on development, manufacturing, and product launch issues

Requirements

• minimum of 4 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
• drafting and negotiating licensing and technology agreements
• advising on intellectual property issues
• supporting M&A and financing transactions
• supporting transactions involving new technologies such as AI and blockchain
• advising start-ups and emerging companies on development, manufacturing, and product launch issues

Qualifications

• subject matter expertise in enterprise software, cloud services, outsourcing, artificial intelligence, blockchain, financial technologies and payment systems, mobile applications, e-commerce, interactive entertainment (including games), digital content, and/or hardware
• experience working at an AmLaw 50 law firm
• excellent academic credentials

Skills

• strong legal research and writing skills
• ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• knowledge of relevant industry trends and developments

Pay

$310,000 to $390,000 annually. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
