Job Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end technology sourcing process, including administering RFP/RFQ/RFI (RFX) activities, managing competitive bidding, evaluating technology vendors and solutions, and executing procurement transactions such as purchase orders, Statements of Work (SOWs), renewals, and other related agreements.
- Build and manage strategic vendor relationships by serving as the primary business contact for non-operational matters, handling escalations, conducting vendor business reviews, evaluating supplier performance, and preparing executive-level reports, briefings, and status updates.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate technology needs, develop sourcing strategies, and ensure vendor selections align with business objectives, procurement policies, and competitive bidding requirements.
- Lead commercial negotiations for technology agreements by interpreting contract terms, collaborating with Legal to address contractual issues, partnering with Finance on budgets and commercial structures, and negotiating pricing, SOWs, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and other technical or operational terms through contract execution.
- Act as a cross-functional liaison between Technology, Legal, Finance, Security, Procurement, and other business partners throughout the sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management lifecycle while ensuring timely delivery of finalized agreements.
- Analyze complex sourcing opportunities by evaluating supplier responses, developing financial models (including present mode of operation (PMO) and future mode of operation (FMO) analyses), comparing vendor proposals, and providing recommendations based on business value, market trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Maintain accurate contract, vendor, and procurement records, monitor sourcing activities for compliance with procurement policies, and stay current on sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management best practices.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
- BS/BA degree (business/technology) required
- Efficiency communicating with all levels of business (from external partners to executive stakeholders)
- Ability to translate requirements and remain timely in responses
- Ability to take deal structure components to be able to compare, analyze, and propose a recommendation
- Experience reviewing contracts, tracking renewal timelines, keeping up with open items and managing deadlines, knowing when and how to prioritize action items
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
- Keen analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills that enable sound decision making
- Ability to identify and deconstruct issues to overcome obstacles
- Ability to own and driving deals to execution and will need to build collaborative relationships in multi-functional teams and have a problem solving mindset to do so
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to coach and develop others to do the same
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- Highly organized, with strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy and conciseness
- Quick learner thriving in a fast paced, cross functional environment; able to prioritize tasks and projects accordingly
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, and international time zones, as needed
