Strategic Sourcing Specialist
About the role
Provides support for defined sourcing categories/commodities aligned with business lines and inter-club organizations. Supports the development, implementation and on-going management of change between the strategic sourcing and supply chain (procurement) organization and internal client organizations. Supports strategic procurement planning to ensure ACG business goals are met. Supports the development of strategic roadmaps aligned to business requirements, ensuring best practices and competitive advantage solutions are utilized. Supports the development and manages the process for supplier performance management, RFx development and execution and contract negotiation and implementation, ensuring department and corporate compliance standards are met. Supports partnership opportunities with the AAA federation of clubs including AAA National and external organizations in order to gain leveraging opportunities for ACG. Supports the department ombudsman process in order to provide timely resolutions to problems and client complaints, ensuring department quality service objectives are met.

Qualifications
- Required Education: College level coursework in supply chain management or related field
- Experience: Project planning, Identifying, analyzing and resolving moderately complex problems, Resolving changes in scope, timing, costs, quality and client satisfaction, Supporting and contributing transformational level change within a procurement organization, Involved in supporting a highly rationalized and diverse supply base optimized to business needs, Supporting strategic sourcing initiatives across a series of spend categories, Supplier development and contract negotiation, Developing cost/benefit analyses, Writing bid proposals with analytical evaluation capability, Goal setting, decision making and conflict resolution, Willing to travel as required to meet business needs, Organizing, monitoring and reporting projects, Coinciding support activities provided by multiple off-site suppliers and internal clients, Customer care and satisfaction
- Knowledge: Trends and emerging technologies/services across assigned ACG procurement categories, Best-in-class procurement transformational trends and traditional processes, Acquisition principals and nomenclature, Business process and technology solutions supporting internal clients, suppliers and department, Negotiation techniques, Basic auditing theory, Statistical methods and analysis, Supplier diversity and strategic importance

Preferred Education
Bachelor degree and/or professional certifications preferred (e.g., Accredited Purchasing Practitioner, CPM)
Compensation & Benefits Overview
Strategic Sourcing Specialist will earn a competitive salary of $90,000 - $100,000 annually with annual bonus potential based on performance.
