Position Summary
The Technology PMO (Project Management Office) Director will drive execution excellence across the technology project portfolio and lead firm-wide technology planning and governance, ensuring alignment of technology investments with business objectives.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead the Technology PMO to ensure consistent project governance, delivery excellence, and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Owes enterprise PMO standards including intake, prioritization, portfolio planning, capacity management, reporting, and execution oversight.
- Owns the technology project roadmap, maintaining a 12–18 month forward-looking view of initiatives, dependencies, and resource planning.
- Manage the technology portfolio, facilitating prioritization and trade-off decisions in collaboration with Technology Steering Committee and project stakeholders.
- Drive cross-functional coordination to reduce "fire drills" and improve proactive planning, communication, and execution.
- Partners with IT and business leadership to drive delivery maturity, strengthen decision discipline, and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
- Oversee IT budgeting and financial planning, including contract management, vendor oversight, and renewal readiness.
- Partner with business departments and Legal team in RFP processes for new technologies, ensuring alignment with firm needs, technical standards, and budget constraints.
- Maintain the technology standards list and a process for regular review of changes and new additions to the technology stack.
- Seek to maximize use of existing solutions to support new business needs before expanding the technology portfolio.
- Establish and track IT performance metrics, providing visibility into delivery timelines and service delivery trends.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence across the IT organization.
- Work with stakeholders to define business and system requirements for new technology implementations.
- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related field and 7-10 years of related work experience.
- Experience leading intake, prioritization, and governance processes.
- Experience managing or contributing to a blended staffing model leveraging core internal team and contractors.
- Ability to influence without direct authority and navigate competing priorities.
- Experience with KPIs, dashboards, and reporting best practices.
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, appropriate across audiences at all levels of the company.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required.
- Ability to present ideas in business and user-friendly language.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree.
- Construction industry experience.
Compensation
Salary Min: $155,410.50
Salary Max: $273,215
Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
