Technology & Market Assessment Manager Americas
Job Summary
We are seeking a Regional Technology Americas & Market Assessment Manager to join our Catalysts team in Houston, TX. This role combines technology management responsibilities across alumina, copper, PGM, and nickel catalyst applications with market assessment and growth planning for selected business areas.
About the Role
You will play a key role in business development, customer success, and product stewardship while identifying underperforming or under-focused segments, assessing their strategic fit, and driving recommendations and growth actions.
Responsibilities
- Leading the technical development of customer proposals, tenders, and bids.
- Representing the technical value proposition in customer discussions and presentations.
- Serving as the primary technical contact for customers on operational issues.
- Acting as the technical owner of the catalyst and technology portfolio.
- Driving innovation and product differentiation with R&D teams.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
- Translating market and customer needs into technical requirements.
- Conducting strategic market assessments and evaluating business segments.
- Defining and driving growth strategies including pricing and innovation plans.
- Leading or initiating relevant R&D activities aligned with growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field (advanced/PhD degree preferred).
- Have experience in catalyst technologies or process engineering environments.
- Possess proven experience in business development or customer-facing technical roles.
- Have strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Have the ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams.
- Hold excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Have demonstrated leadership and collaboration abilities.
Qualifications
- Up to 50% travel required.
