About the role
The Technology/Low Voltage Designer will be responsible for designing and implementing low voltage systems in various settings such as commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and residential properties.
Responsibilities
- Designing electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other contractors to ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards
- Performing site visits to gather information about existing electrical systems and to plan new installations
- Preparing detailed project plans and specifications
- Testing and commissioning completed projects to ensure proper functionality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in low voltage design and installation
- Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
