About the Role

Technology is the enabling force powering Vanguard’s client experience, investment products, and advice. As technology continues to evolve, so does the need for leaders who can identify, assess, and mitigate risk across complex systems. Vanguard’s Technology Leadership Program (TLP) is designed to develop the next generation of IT leaders through hands-on experience, collaboration, and rotational learning.

Through three unique rotations, you will build technical expertise in cybersecurity and risk while developing the leadership skills needed to protect Vanguard and its clients. As part of the Technology Leadership Program in the Risk & Security Analyst track, you’ll help identify, assess, and mitigate risks that impact Vanguard’s systems, operations, and clients. Your work will contribute to safeguarding Vanguard against evolving cybersecurity threats and operational risks.

Through real-world assignments and collaboration across technology and business teams, you’ll gain exposure to how risk and security practices enable Vanguard to deliver secure, reliable services to investors. You’ll work alongside cybersecurity, technology, and business partners to analyze threats, strengthen controls, and support risk-informed decision-making. Through technical capstones, hackathons, and hands-on projects, you’ll build both your analytical skillset and your ability to collaborate, influence, and lead.
