Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions on Snowflake.
- Lead migration of legacy data warehouses and ETL platforms to Snowflake.
- Define data modeling standards including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Data Vault, and Kimball methodologies.
- Design and implement data ingestion frameworks using batch and real-time processing.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, storage, compute costs, and query execution.
- Establish security, governance, masking, RBAC, and data-sharing strategies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Drive best practices for CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring, and automation within the data platform.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to development teams.
- Conduct architecture reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards.
- Take ownership of complex data engineering initiatives from conception through production deployment.
- Develop and implement high-performance ETL frameworks using Snowflake and Python.
- Establish patterns and standards that other developers can follow while ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Requirements
- 8–10 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Must have skills: Snowflake Developer, Data on Cloud.
- Nice to have skills: additional Snowflake development experience.
