Roles And Responsibilities
- Support process validation for new CNC machines, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
- Lead CNC program prove-out activities and resolve issues during initial production runs.
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs using UG NX.
- Verify CNC programs using Vericut to ensure machining accuracy and efficiency.
- Evaluate probing cycles and machining strategies to achieve dimensional compliance verified through CMM inspections.
- Perform minor modifications to existing CNC programs based on engineering requirements.
- Update CNC programs and maintain documentation based on First Article Inspection (FAI) results and engineering change requests.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and implement technical solutions to improve productivity, quality, and cycle time.
- Provide shop floor support during production ramp-up by working closely with operators, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to improve process capability (Cp/Cpk).
- Optimize machining processes and cutting parameters to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in CNC programming, manufacturing engineering, or quality engineering.
- Strong experience supporting new machine implementation and production ramp-up.
- Hands-on expertise in CNC program development and modification using UG NX.
- Experience verifying CNC programs using Vericut.
- Solid understanding of engineering drawings, tolerancing, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Experience with dimensional validation using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize cycle times.
- Experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing process improvements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Required Skills

- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling systems, and cutting tools.
- Engineering drawings, GD&T, and CMM inspection.
