Technology Consultant-CTJ-Poly
We are seeking a Technology Consultant with expertise in Microsoft Exchange and secure collaboration, including Exchange (on-prem and Exchange Online), Teams, Skype, O/M365, and X3/X5/X7 environments. This role involves both pre-sales support and technical delivery, acting as a subject matter expert to scope projects, define requirements, and drive the adoption of Microsoft technologies.
Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identifies opportunities to expand or accelerate the adoption and consumption of cloud and Microsoft technologies.
- Intellectual Property Management: Acts as an ambassador for intellectual property (IP), leveraging and contributing to IP in projects. Proactively assists in creating IP content, identifies gaps, and provides feedback for continuous improvement.
- Operational Excellence: Completes operational tasks and readiness with timeliness and accuracy. Adheres to Microsoft policies, compliance, and procedures (e.g., Enterprise Services Authorization Policy, Standards of Business Conduct, labor logging, expenses, travel guidelines).
- Pre-Sales Support: Participates in the pre-sale process, helping scope projects by sharing technical and customer knowledge in their specialty domain.
- Readiness: Learns new technologies or services based on business demands and industry trends. Obtains relevant accreditations and certifications as advised by leadership. Shares best practices and product news within the team and participates in relevant technical communities at Microsoft.
- Technical Delivery:
- Leads or participates in meetings with customers/partners to understand business needs and scenarios.
- Defines customer/partner requirements and constraints using business, technology, and industry strategies.
- Maintains tools with up-to-date skills and availability.
- Proactively identifies and mitigates technical and business risks, engaging stakeholders as needed.
- Manages relationships with customers/partners to address satisfaction drivers and root causes of dissatisfaction.
- Implements technical solutions, oversees aspects of implementation, and supports project planning.
- Communicates the business value of solutions to customers/partners.
- Manages schedule, communicates with project leads, and delivers against the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field AND 1+ year(s) of work experience in a relevant area of business OR equivalent experience.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI Polygraph Security Clearance required. Candidates must meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements. Failure to maintain clearance may result in termination.
- This position requires passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of work experience in a relevant area of business.
- Technical certifications based on domain/service line (e.g., Azure, Security, Dynamics).
- Experience with Microsoft Exchange and secure collaboration, including:
- Exchange (on-prem and Exchange Online), Teams, Skype, O/M365, and X3/X5/X7 environments.
- Secure collaboration (Teams, Skype, Air-Gap/Cloud Services).
- Exchange architecture and operations.
Pay
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $77,900 - $156,200 per year. For specific work locations within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is USD $100,800 - $169,200 per year.
