About the role

Santander UK is seeking a Technology Category & Sourcing Manager based in Milton Keynes, Bradford, or Glasgow. The role involves leading supplier management, category management, and sourcing activities aligned with a specific spend area. The candidate will support Santander UK and associated group entities in achieving cost-to-income targets by acting as a trusted advisor and enabling optimal commercial outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Build multi-year sourcing and category strategies aligned with global colleagues and technology strategy using market data and industry trends
  • Lead and execute complex and strategic sourcing activity
  • Drive cost and business benefits aligned to Procurement and business targets
  • Translate business strategy into actionable sourcing and category plans
  • Support stakeholder engagement across the organization
  • Ensure supplier performance meets expectations in quality, compliance, and cost
  • Contribute to financial planning, forecasting, and budget management

Requirements

  • Proven track record in technology and IT services category management and sourcing within a global procurement organization
  • Experience managing complex contracts and sourcing activity
  • Experience contributing to financial planning and budget management
  • Experience within financial services or regulated environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Procurement, or related discipline
  • Professional procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS)
  • English language proficiency
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • Cost analysis and financial insight capability

  • Salary Range: £53,500.00 - £70,250.00 per annum (depending on experience)

Pay

Salary Range: £53,500.00 - £70,250.00 per annum (depending on experience)

Schedule

This role is site-based with a hybrid working pattern, where colleagues are expected to attend the office at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
